SortED’s UCC trial is underway
The new component for smarter disposition (PlacED) which identifies the best location for the patient’s treatment, was originally developed for Emergency Departments.
Co-located Urgent Care Centres also see walk in patients and have key decisions to make: whether to send the patients to the adjacent ED; to send to an Ambulatory Emergency Care facility with more investigative facilities than the UCC; for treatment within the UCC by a GP or nurse, or to refer the patient directly to a specialist team within the hospital.
The SortED Tablet initial assessment App helps nurses make these choices based on the individual patients observations, checklist entries and acuity level.
