A helping hand for Emergency Departments

Our mission View our work Can you help?

Sort-ED Partnership LLP

The partnership brings together a multidisciplinary team with skills in emergency medicine, medical research, systems analysis & engineering, programming, data analysis and IT. We believe that nurses should play a key role in development of software intended for nurses and involve volunteer nurses at a very early stage in component development. Hands on experience with prototype apps unleashes their own creativity to complement ours.

What we do

We bring evidence-based medicine and data driven software design together to make new tools for Emergency Departments. Analysis of the systems and practices already in place identifies where improvements are possible. We then build prototype apps for clinical validation. Clinical trials at two London teaching hospitals have achieved proof of concept for key components. Data capture during trials informs our software design process.

How you can help

We are currently a largely self-funded group and need volunteer ED nurses and doctors. We are keen to hear your thoughts on inadequacies of the systems you have used. We need opinions about our products and proposed services. Do they meet a need in your hospital? If you need help improving your current systems we are keen to collaborate. We are also seeking corporate partners who can add to our skill base.
